“Sourire de Reims Brut is a brilliantly faceted cuvée, both dazzling and timeless, like a diamond. The vinification process reveals the special nature of each plot, as if they were gemstones. The blending art is like the precision work of a diamond cutter, always aiming for perfection.”
Sourire de Reims Brut
For the Sourire de Reims Brut, Maison Abelé selects the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, and only in the very best vintages. The Sourire is then left to reach aromatic maturity and reveal its magnificent array of flavours during an extended stay in our historic cellars. After several years of maturing, this exceptional champagne is disgorged and left to rest again for between 6 and 12 months.

Golden straw colour, typical of the 2008 vintage.
Sourire de Reims 2008 subtly combines flavours of yellow fruit (peach, apricot) with hints of spice such as liquorice and peppermint, classic aromas of this great vintage.
The attack is vibrant, extremely fine and delicate. A complex set of flavours gently come through, made of fresh fruit and hints of linden and cinnamon. The after taste delivers an outstanding freshness, evidence of a generous vintage with great potential.
